| Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. | Du hast dem Leviathan die Köpfe zerschlagen und ihn zum Fraß gegeben dem wilden Getier. | (73:14) tu confregisti capita Leviathan dedisti eum in escam populo Aethiopum |
| The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun. | Du hast Quellen und Bäche hervorbrechen lassen und ließest starke Ströme versiegen. | (73:15) tu disrupisti fontem et torrentem tu exsiccasti flumina fortia |
