| O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. | du Geschlecht Abrahams, seines Knechts, ihr Söhne Jakobs, seine Auserwählten! | (104:5) recordamini mirabilium eius quae fecit signorum et iudiciorum oris eius |

| He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. | Er gedenkt ewiglich an seinen Bund, an das Wort, das er verheißen hat für tausend Geschlechter, | (104:7) ipse Dominus Deus noster in universa terra iudicia eius |
| Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; | an den Bund, den er geschlossen hat mit Abraham, und an den Eid, den er Isaak geschworen hat. | (104:8) recordatus est in aeternum pacti sui verbi quod praecepit in mille generationes |
| And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: | Er stellte ihn auf für Jakob als Satzung und für Israel als ewigen Bund | (104:9) quod pepigit cum Abraham et iuramenti sui cum Isaac |
| Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: | und sprach: «Dir will ich das Land Kanaan geben, das Los eures Erbteils», | (104:10) et firmavit illud cum Iacob in lege cum Israhel pactum sempiternum |
| When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. | als sie noch gering waren an Zahl, nur wenige und Fremdlinge im Lande. | (104:11) dicens tibi dabo terram Chanaan funiculum hereditatis vestrae |
| When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; | Und sie zogen von Volk zu Volk, von einem Königreich zum andern. | (104:12) cum essent viri pauci modici et advenae in ea |
| He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; | Er ließ keinen Menschen ihnen Schaden tun und wies Könige zurecht um ihretwillen: | (104:13) et transierunt de gente in gentem de regno ad populum alterum |
| Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. | «Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an, und tut meinen Propheten kein Leid!» | (104:14) non dimisit hominem ut noceret eis et corripuit pro eis reges |
| Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. | Und er ließ eine Hungersnot ins Land kommen und nahm weg allen Vorrat an Brot. | (104:15) nolite tangere christos meos et prophetas meos nolite adfligere |

| The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. | Da sandte der König hin und ließ ihn losgeben, der Herr über Völker, er gab ihn frei. | (104:19) usque ad tempus donec veniret sermo eius eloquium Domini probavit eum |
| He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: | Er setzte ihn zum Herrn über sein Haus, zum Herrscher über alle seine Güter, | (104:20) misit rex et solvit eum princeps populorum et dimisit illum |
| To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. | daß er seine Fürsten unterwiese nach seinem Willen und seine Ältesten Weisheit lehrte. | (104:21) posuit eum dominum domus suae et principem in omni possessione sua |
| Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. | Und Israel zog nach Ägypten, und Jakob ward ein Fremdling im Lande Hams. | (104:22) ut erudiret principes eius secundum voluntatem suam et senes eius sapientiam doceret |
| And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies. | Und der Herr ließ sein Volk sehr wachsen und machte sie mächtiger als ihre Feinde. | (104:23) et ingressus est Israhel Aegyptum et Iacob advena fuit in terra Ham |
| He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants. | Diesen verwandelte er das Herz, daß sie seinem Volk gram wurden und Arglist übten an seinen Knechten. | (104:24) et crescere fecit populum suum nimis et roboravit eum super hostes eius |
| He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen. | Er sandte seinen Knecht Mose und Aaron, den er erwählt hatte. | (104:25) convertit cor eorum ut odio haberent populum eius ut dolose agerent contra servos illius |
| They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. | Die taten seine Zeichen unter ihnen und seine Wunder im Lande Hams. | (104:26) misit Mosen servum suum Aaron quem elegit sibi |

| He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts. | Er gebot, da kam Ungeziefer, Stechmücken in all ihr Gebiet. | (104:30) ebullivit terra eorum ranas in cubiculis regum eorum |
| He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. | Er gab ihnen Hagel statt Regen, Feuerflammen in ihrem Lande | (104:31) dixit et venit musca omnimoda scinifes in universis terminis eorum |
| He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. | und schlug ihre Weinstöcke und Feigenbäume und zerbrach die Bäume in ihrem Gebiet. | (104:32) dedit pluvias eorum grandinem ignem flammantem in terra eorum |
| He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number, | Er gebot, da kamen Heuschrecken geflogen und gekrochen ohne Zahl; | (104:33) et percussit vineam eorum et ficum eorum et confregit lignum finium eorum |
| And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. | sie fraßen alles, was da wuchs in ihrem Lande, und fraßen auch die Frucht ihres Ackers. | (104:34) dixit et venit lucusta et bruchus cuius non erat numerus |
| He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. | Er schlug alle Erstgeburt in Ägypten, alle Erstlinge ihrer Kraft. | (104:35) et comedit omne faenum terrae eorum et devoravit fructum terrae eorum |
| He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. | Er führte sie heraus mit Silber und Gold; es war kein Gebrechlicher unter ihren Stämmen. | (104:36) et percussit omne primogenitum in terra eorum primitias universi partus eorum |
| Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them. | Ägypten wurde froh, daß sie auszogen; denn Furcht vor ihnen war auf sie gefallen. | (104:37) et eduxit eos cum argento et auro et non erat in tribubus eorum infirmus |
| He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night. | Er breitete eine Wolke aus, sie zu decken, und ein Feuer, des Nachts zu leuchten. | (104:38) laetata est Aegyptus cum egrederentur quoniam inruerat terror eorum super eos |
| The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. | Sie baten, da ließ er Wachteln kommen, und er sättigte sie mit Himmelsbrot. | (104:39) expandit nubem in tentorium et ignem ut luceret nocte |
| He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. | Er öffnete den Felsen, da flossen Wasser heraus, daß Bäche liefen in der dürren Wüste. | (104:40) petierunt et adduxit ortygometran et pane caelesti saturavit eos |
| For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. | Denn er gedachte an sein heiliges Wort und an Abraham, seinen Knecht. | (104:41) aperuit petram et fluxerunt aquae cucurrerunt in aridis flumina |
| And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: | So führte er sein Volk in Freuden heraus und seine Auserwählten mit Jubel | (104:42) quia recordatus est verbi sancti sui cum Abraham servo suo |
| And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; | und gab ihnen die Länder der Heiden, daß sie die Güter der Völker gewannen, | (104:43) et eduxit populum suum in laetitia laudantes electos suos |
| That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD. | damit sie seine Gebote hielten und seine Gesetze bewahrten. Halleluja! | (104:44) et dedit eis terras gentium et laborem tribuum possederunt |
