| So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. | - denn deine Knechte wollten gerne, daß es gebaut würde, und es jammert sie, daß es in Trümmern liegt -, | (101:15) quoniam placitos fecerunt servi tui lapides eius et pulverem eius miserabilem |
| When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. | daß die Heiden den Namen des HERRN fürchten und alle Könige auf Erden deine Herrlichkeit. | (101:16) et timebunt gentes nomen Domini et universi reges terrae gloriam tuam |
| He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. | Ja, der HERR baut Zion wieder und erscheint in seiner Herrlichkeit. | (101:17) quia aedificavit Dominus Sion apparuit in gloria sua |
| This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. | Er wendet sich zum Gebet der Verlassenen und verschmäht ihr Gebet nicht. | (101:18) respexit ad orationem vacui et non dispexit orationem eorum |
| For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; | Das werde geschrieben für die Nachkommen; und das Volk, das er schafft, wird den HERRN loben. | (101:19) scribatur hoc in generatione novissima et populus qui creabitur laudabit Dominum |
| To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; | Denn er schaut von seiner heiligen Höhe, der HERR sieht vom Himmel auf die Erde, | (101:20) quoniam prospexit de excelso sanctuario suo Dominus de caelo terram contemplatus est |
| To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; | daß er das Seufzen der Gefangenen höre und losmache die Kinder des Todes, | (101:21) ut audiret gemitum vincti ut solveret filios mortis |
| When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD. | daß sie in Zion verkünden den Namen des HERRN und sein Lob in Jerusalem, | (101:22) ut narretur in Sion nomen Domini et laudatio eius in Hierusalem |
| He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days. | wenn die Völker zusammenkommen und die Königreiche, dem HERRN zu dienen. | (101:23) cum congregati fuerint populi simul et regna ut serviant Domino |
| I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations. | Er demütigt auf dem Wege meine Kraft, er verkürzt meine Tage. | (101:24) adflixit in via fortitudinem meam adbreviavit dies meos |
| Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. | Ich sage: Mein Gott, nimm mich nicht weg in der Hälfte meiner Tage!
