| Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. | er hat mir ein neues Lied in meinen Mund gegeben, zu loben unsern Gott. | I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. | Ich verkündige Gerechtigkeit in der großen Gemeinde. | Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. | Deine Gerechtigkeit verberge ich nicht in meinem Herzen; von deiner Wahrheit und von deinem Heil rede ich. | For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me. | Du aber, HERR, wollest deine Barmherzigkeit nicht von mir wenden; laß deine Güte und Treue allewege mich behüten. | (39:12) tu Domine non prohibebis misericordias tuas a me misericordia tua et veritas iugiter servabunt me |
| Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. | Denn es haben mich umgeben Leiden ohne Zahl. Meine Sünden haben mich ereilt; ich kann sie nicht überblicken. Ihrer sind mehr als Haare auf meinem Haupt, und mein Herz ist verzagt. | (39:13) circumdederunt enim me mala quorum non est numerus conprehenderunt me iniquitates meae et non potui videre plures factae sunt quam capilli capitis mei et cor meum dereliquit me |
| Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. | Laß dir's gefallen, HERR, mich zu erretten; eile, HERR, mir zu helfen! | (39:14) placeat tibi Domine ut liberes me Domine ad adiuvandum me festina |
| Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha. | Schämen sollen sich und zuschanden werden, die mir nach dem Leben stehen, mich umzubringen. Es sollen zurückweichen und zuschanden werden, die mir mein Unglück gönnen. | (39:15) confundantur et revereantur simul quaerentes animam meam ut auferant eam convertantur retrorsum et confundantur qui volunt mala mihi |
| Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. | Sie sollen in ihrer Schande erschrecken, die über mich schreien: Da, da! | (39:16) pereant post confusionem suam qui dicunt mihi va va |
| But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. | Laß deiner sich freuen und fröhlich sein alle, die nach dir fragen; und die dein Heil lieben, laß allewege sagen: Der HERR sei hoch gelobt! | (39:17) gaudeant et laetentur in te qui quaerunt te dicant iugiter magnificetur Dominus qui diligunt salutare tuum |
| Denn ich bin arm und elend; der Herr aber sorgt für mich. Du bist mein Helfer und Erretter; mein Gott, säume doch nicht! | (39:18) ego autem sum egens et pauper Dominus sollicitus erit pro me auxilium meum et salutare meum tu Deus meus ne moreris |
